Sins Forever
The semester just started and I'm already burntout. So I sat down to watch a movie to further ignore my responsiblities. Looking over my dvd collection I was trying to find something that I haven't seen recently. My choice was Sin City. I really enjoy this movie, and the graphic novels, and if you don't that's fine. But I don't want to hear about it. While I was watching it I started to feel guilty. My reading is falling behind, so is my writing and blogging.
Away my wheels went a turning to make the connections.
For those who don't know anything about the layout of Sin City it goes like this. There are 7 different graphic novels usually centering around one person. It's not done chronologically and the movie only covers 3 and a bit.
The story that I caught me was That Yellow Bastard.
This is the old possessing the new! Roark Junior is stealing little girls. He tortures, rapes, and kills. Hartigan saves Nancy, age 11, and 8 years later she's in love with him trying to seduce her savior. Mind you he is in his mid 60's by then.
Demeter, Dolores, Hades, Lolita, Persephones... the past is there living in the present.
